Interview: Isabella Combs

Hear from Isabella Combs, a successful NYC college student with multiple LBLDs (Language Based Learning Disabilities). Isabella talks to us about her experience at a specialized high school that provided comprehensive support for students with learning disabilities, and her transition to college, where she found it difficult to obtain even the legal minimum of accessibility and learning support. 

Isabella has since transferred to a new college which provides more support to students with learning disabilities. In this interview, she shares some helpful tips and insights on the process of transferring, advocating for yourself, finding a college that suits your learning style, and ensuring that you are getting the support you are entitled to.
